These systems are based on battery-powered "active" RFID technology, where wireless tags use on-board battery power to transmit signals from a few feet to hundreds of feet in order to automatically identify, track, monitor, and protect people, assets, and vehicles. AXCESS' unique patented dual-active RFID technology enables tags to wake-up on-demand as needed to provide precise location determination plus the ability to have tags always "on" in a beaconing signal mode. ActiveTag™ RFID System

The ActiveTag RFID Solution consists of a variety of tags , activators, antennas, receivers, and software. The RFID tags have a variety of form factors contain a battery that on some tags are replaceable and provide additional performance capabilities like a duress alarm, programmable beacon mode and tamper indicator. In order to provide the best battery conservation in the industry, we utilize a tag activator that wakes up the tag to then transmit a wireless signal up to 100meters to low cost network-based receivers which pass the tag IDs and location to the software system. Multiple tags can be read at once which enables our secure asset management solution called Functional Linkage(tm). Tagged assets can be assigned to tagged authorized personnel and software can track who moved it, whether their movement is authorized, and send out wireless alerts to recover the asset before it leaves the premises. The automatic "hands-free" electronic custodial assignment allows for accountability and to move assets around the facility as needed without reducing productivity.

Our systems have the capability of integrating to the enterprise system software, the existing security alarm equipment or our AXCESS OnlineSupervisorTM enterprise software platform. The e/OLS Online Supervisor software is an enterprise-wide personnel, asset and equipment monitoring solution providing real-time location displays, automatic inventory counts, custom reports and alerts based on programmable rule-based conditions including automatic e-mail alerting and paging for rapid response. Tag transmissions have the option to trigger security video recording and live remote video transmission of events.
